WELL BILT Industries was contracted to supply a new door system as a replacement for a failing door system on an older building. After meeting with the general contractor, it was determined more cost effective to remove and replace the doors with a new system that would allow the successful operation and use of the doors for years to come.
The doors were designed for a clear opening of 150 feet and 30 feet tall with a 10’ x 16’ tall tail door to accommodate a C-130. The door is equipped with safe edge on the leading edge of the door system and NEMA 4 Controls, including cable festoons. The door’s upper guide system is comprised of Pancake top guides to match the previous condition and system requirements. The doors are equipped with steel wheel operation and gear reduction drives. The door was clad with 2.5” IMP on the outside and 26 gauge liner panel on the inside.
